"Interpreting the CMMI: A Process Improvement Approach, Second Edition"

There is a chapter on incorporating Agile
Methods into CMMI process improvement and a chapter containing our closing
thoughts. We have also included appendices. These appendices contain interesting
bits of information. So, readers new to process improvement and the CMMI should
first concentrate on Chapters 2 through 8. The CMMI ???expert??? may wish to skip
Chapters 2 through 8. The reader seeking help in process improvement techniques
(whether using the CMMI or not) should focus on Chapters 9 through 15. Those
of you interested in measurement issues and techniques should read Chapters 16
through 19; and those of you interested in SCAMPI appraisals should read Chapters
20 through 22. Chapter 23 is for the Agile Methods??™s ???inquiring minds.??? Of
course, everyone should read Chapter 1. If you have gotten this far, you are so good.
Give yourself a star. We thank you for buying this book. If you didn??™t buy the book
but just borrowed it, hey, we are happy about that too. At least you are reading
something we sweated over.
