Here??™s where it gets confusing. The continuous approach using capability levels
has two generic goals (and associated generic practices) for Level 4, and two
generic goals (and associated generic practices) for Level 5. The staged approach
using maturity levels does not have those two generic goals and generic practices.
The staged approach uses entire process areas that reside at Maturity Levels 4 and
5. That means that instead, you need to satisfy the specific goals and practices for
the corresponding process areas (Organizational Process Performance [OPP] and
Quantitative Project Management [QPM] for Target Profile 4, and Organizational
