"Interpreting the CMMI: A Process Improvement Approach, Second Edition"

So, organizations using the previous CMMI will need to do a little
work here.
The PA is Organizational Process Definition because this is where you define
and document your organizational processes. No big surprises there. The process
asset library is commonly referred to as the PAL.
The measurement repository discussed here is different from what is mentioned
in Measurement and Analysis at Level 2. The measurement repository at Level
2 is primarily concerned with project-level data stored in project-level repositories.
At Level 3, the information from the projects is now collected and stored at
an organizational level, and combined and integrated into organizational metrics
that are meaningful to the organization as a whole. For example, at Level 2, the
repository may contain when the Requirements phase began and when it ended;
when the Design phase began and when it ended; when Construction began and
when it ended; when Testing began and when it ended; and when Implementation
began. The repository may also contain defects found in testing.
