Each capability level builds on the previous level. So, in order to be Capability
Level 5, the organization must satisfy the specific practices for the selected process
area (Capability Level 1), plus the generic practices for Capability Levels 2, 3, 4,

Organizational Process Performance
The purpose of Organizational Process Performance (OPP) is to establish and
maintain a quantitative understanding of the performance of the Organization??™s
Set of Standard Processes (OSSP) in support of quality and process??“performance
objectives, and to provide the process??“performance data, baselines, and models to
quantitatively manage the organization??™s projects.
