may choose which areas to focus on, as well as the degree of focus that

organizations, as well as those organizations not as mature as early adopters
of the SEI??™s process improvement approach, should not be penalized.
Because going from Level 1 to Level 2 is generally the hardest for most
organizations, Level 2 remains basic. An organization may also choose
