This Appraisal Input document is normally signed
off by the Appraisal Team Leader (i.e., the Lead Appraiser) and the sponsor from
the organization being appraised. The Appraisal Input document is submitted to
the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) as part of the appraisal data package at
the end of the appraisal. The MDD allows for various levels of formality for this
document, from a formal signed document to simple meeting minutes. Your Lead

outline for the Appraisal Input is shown in Table 21.4.
Develop the Appraisal Plan Process
The Appraisal Plan documents the appraisal purpose and focuses on discovering
the processes, standards, and technologies in use.
