This is a violation of the confidentiality and nonattribution rules. The only variation
of this rule is after the findings have been delivered to the organization. Team members
may then disseminate information on what the finding means and where the
organization did not meet the intent of a practice in order to develop action plans
for continuing the process improvement effort. However, team members cannot
reveal who said what during interviews and who said what during Appraisal Team
discussions. Not revealing what is said by individuals is part of the confidentiality
and nonattribution concepts of the SCAMPI.
When selecting team members, the Lead Appraiser must consider the roles
and responsibilities that each team member must fulfill. The Lead Appraiser will
assign specific roles and responsibilities to each Appraisal Team Member. Each
team member is usually assigned one or more process areas (PAs) to investigate. The
team member reviews the documentation, scripts questions, and after conducting
interviews and participating in team consensus activities will prepare preliminary
findings for his assigned PAs.
