When using either the staged or continuous representation, if the Determine
Maturity Level rating option was selected during planning, the Appraisal Team
generates a maturity-level rating. Maturity levels are defined for the entire organizational
unit being appraised. A maturity level rating can be assigned using either the
staged representation or the continuous representation. When using the continuous
representation, the team uses what is called Equivalent Staging. If using the staged
representation, satisfaction of the process areas must have been determined. If using
the continuous representation, a Capability Profile must have been generated.
This step is done according the rules shown in Table 21.12.
The Appraisal Team documents final findings and ratings, and prepares the
Appraisal Disclosure Statement (ADS) for the SEI.
At this point, having gone through all the steps above, documenting the Final
Findings and Rating Outcomes should be straightforward. One new requirement
with SCAMPI v1.2 is that the Appraisal Team Members are required to sign the
