assessments under different models often let the organization provide the
documentation according to that organization??™s format. What we often found was
that the documents listed in this documentation checklist were missing, not appropriate,
or unable to be accessed for review. Remember, the SCAMPI is the Standard
CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement. Part of the standardization
includes the usage of PIIDs.
Normally, the SCAMPI Lead Appraiser furnishes the empty PIIDs to the organization.
The Engineering Process Group (EPG) usually completes the PIIDs or
delegates someone to complete them. Completing the PIIDs is a big job, so do not
appoint just one person to do the job. Select the people who know the most about
