"Interpreting the CMMI: A Process Improvement Approach, Second Edition"

Changing the PIIDs during the appraisal causes all of the information
gained, investigation conducted, and SCAMPI steps performed up
to this point to be nullified.
PIID Attribute: PIIDs can be accessed via working hyperlinks in an electronic
PIID repository.
Problem: If the links do not work, the Appraisal Team can waste a lot of time
and not find the required artifacts.
336 n Interpreting the CMMI
Solution: Have someone test every link. Verify that they are not broken and
that all Appraisal Team Members have correct access rights. Make sure
the Appraisal Team has the correct security to access the information
required.
data Consolidation Worksheets
What are Data Consolidation Worksheets? These are the worksheets used by the
Appraisal Team Members to perform data consolidation. Data consolidation is the
activity of collecting and summarizing all the appraisal information into a manageable
set. We talked about data consolidation at length in Chapter 21, so we will not
repeat that discussion here.
In our consultancy, we keep the PIIDs separate from the Data Consolidation
Worksheets.
