"Interpreting the CMMI: A Process Improvement Approach, Second Edition"

It is the responsibility of the organization and projects to complete the
PIIDs. It is the responsibility of the Appraisal Team Members to complete the Data
Consolidation Worksheets. The Appraisal Team Members are individually, and as a
team, responsible for reviewing the data in the PIID to ensure that the information
is complete, correct, and it satisfies the expectation of the practice. We think this
is important! Having separate Data Consolidation Worksheets helps keep the right
focus. So, the organization enters the information into the PIIDs. The individual
Appraisal Team Members review the information in the PIIDs and transfer only
the correct and verified PIID information into the Data Consolidation Worksheets.
The Appraisal Team Members then work together, as discussed in Chapter 21, to
consolidate and reach consensus on the verified information.
Just like PIIDs, there is no ???required??? format or implementation for a Data
Consolidation Worksheet. A Data Consolidation Worksheet can be implemented
in Excel, Word, or a specialized database.
