Network Environment
Management
The network staff is responsible for ensuring that the underlying communications
infrastructure is capable of supporting business objectives and associated applications.
Network staff is also responsible for managing each device on the network according to
best industry practices and for reducing device downtime. This chapter describes
commands and processes to determine network operational status, gather information about
remote devices, and manage Cisco IOS images, con?¬?guration ?¬?les, and devices on a
network.
