The document de?¬?nes the standards for encoding data onto RFID tags which conform to
C1G2 and de?¬?ne completely that portion of EPC tag data that is standardized, including
how that data is encoded on the EPC tag and how it is encoded for use in the information
systems layers of the EPC Systems Network. The EPC encoding includes a Header ?¬?eld
followed by one or more Value Fields. The Header ?¬?eld de?¬?nes the overall length and
format of the Value Fields. The Value Fields can contain a unique EPC code and if required
a Filter Value.
