"Service-Oriented Modeling (SOA): Service Analysis, Design, and Architecture"

What kind of alterations can a service undergo during the service life cycle run-time
season? A service can be demoted or retired because of a reduction in consumption rates, SLA
breaches, lack of reusability, or functionality deficiency. These difficulties in providing adequate
business value should be discovered and treated in a timely manner by employing adequate
remedies to ensure business continuity during the run-time season. Conversely, a service that
operates in a production environment can be promoted because of market demand and a surge
in consumption rates of its offerings. This would require additional budget allocations to support
the new operational conditions.
SERVICE LIFE CYCLE CONTINUOUS DISCIPLINES. Why should continuous disciplines be practiced
during service life cycles? What is their contribution to the overall life cycle management?
Service life cycle continuous disciplines??”often called parallel disciplines??”offer best practices,
standards, and policies to be employed during design-time and run-time seasons. These are chiefly
???big picture??? strategic activities that must constantly be pursued because of their major contribution
to the overall life cycle strategy. For example, qualifying services are activities that should
take place during all life cycle processes. Integrating services and consumers are also efforts
that should be pursued throughout design-time and run-time seasons.
