"Service-Oriented Modeling (SOA): Service Analysis, Design, and Architecture"

Furthermore, the equity funds group is
made up of conceptual services designed to provide aggressive investments to consumers. (Equity
funds are instruments that typically offer groups of stocks known to be riskier than fixed-income
investments but that yield high returns.) The other groups presented in this mutual fund partitioned
cluster are the taxable bond funds and money market funds that provide specialized business
functionality delivered by the various related conceptual services.
Cluster partitions are typically autonomous entities that center on solving defined and
targeted problems. These segments are not designed to collaborate, share resources, or to resolve
common issues. They are independent subclusters that were assigned separate missions and business
goals. The reusability aspect, however, is expressed internally within the groups themselves,
and less emphasis is placed on asset sharing among cluster partitions. Remember, there should
be reasonable enterprise reuse boundaries when implementing cluster concepts. Obviously, ???too
much reusability of assets??? does not constitute a proper service-oriented best practice. But fostering
asset reuse practices with service clusters in very large organizational operations can challenge
the management of enterprise asset portfolio and business execution.
Conceptual Service Overlapping Clusters. This method enables views of superimposed clusters,
meaning independent clusters can be combined by visually positioning them on top of each other,
similar to the set theory??™s Venn diagrams.
