"Service-Oriented Modeling (SOA): Service Analysis, Design, and Architecture"

Second, supply analysis service profiles. These should contain all affiliated business and technical
facts assembled during the service profiling process (described in the section on service-oriented
profiling). Exhibit 6.8 depicts the service typing and delivery model, which is shown with its two
major required deliverables: service type and service profile.
GENERAL SERVICE TYPING MODEL. Follow the service typing model guidelines to establish
FQSN for the organization??™s services. This format should include three major components: service
source identification, description of service internal structures, and business or technology context
affiliation. Use these service namespaces to establish organizational service taxonomy, enhance
the categorization capabilities of the enterprise assets portfolio, and improve the management of
the services??™ registries.
SERVICES PROFILES. Furnish service profiles for organizational software assets. This initiative
should include service-oriented entities, such as legacy systems, existing services, and organizational
concepts. These profiles should consist of two major profiling models: business and
technology profiles.
Business Profile Model. The service business profile is typically a record of reference that
outlines service affiliation with business projects, identifies its business ownership, and provides
monetary justification for its existence.
