"Service-Oriented Modeling (SOA): Service Analysis, Design, and Architecture"

??? Analysis invariance aspects. The progression of services during the analysis modeling
process must preserve their invariance properties. In other words, the transformation activities
should not alter the services??™ fundamental functionalities or modify their business or
technology identities.
Analysis Notation 157
ANALYSIS PROPOSITION DIAGRAMS
The ultimate service analysis proposition deliverable is the modeling diagram. This artifact is an
enduring asset of service-oriented projects and service life cycles. These charts should capture
the essence of the analysis process and the resulting final analysis assessments. By applying the
various analysis operations discussed in Chapter 7, one should be able to convey a direction for
the imminent design and architecture phases. To craft a superior analysis proposition deliverable,
utilize the analysis modeling language that can enhance communications with the business and
technology organizations. So where should the process start? How can effective analysis modeling
diagrams be provided? Consider the following guidelines:
??? Study service typing and profiles and recognize their value propositions (discussed in
Chapter 6).
??? Leverage the granularity analysis that was conducted to identify service reusability factors
and consumption potential (discussed in Chapter 7).
??? Revise the analysis process and the operations that were conducted on the analysis services
(discussed in Chapter 7).
