"Service-Oriented Modeling (SOA): Service Analysis, Design, and Architecture"

Architectures that accommodate short-term organizational needs are typically byproducts
of rapid architecture, design, and construction practices. Characteristically, these technologies
focus on a narrower business problem scope and are designed to reduce the immediate burden
on business and technology executives. Mainly they are introduced to mitigate immediate risks
and reduce the negative impact on business execution. The notion that tactical solutions are
not as vital to an organization as strategic ones does not always reflect reality. These tactical
implementations, at times, become permanent ingredients of end-state architectures and play
essential roles in building solid enterprise architectures.
Technical architectures that facilitate the business architecture tactical perspective should
be based on the following major attributes:
??? Should leverage rapid and agile development and deployment methodologies that can
facilitate reduction of time-to-market and business agility
??? Should be a part of and based on existing organizational technical architectures and
infrastructures to avoid a long development curve and lengthy deployment to production
processes
??? Should leverage known architectural patterns to speed up the implementation process
DELIVERABLES
Abusiness architecture contextual perspectives analysis document should be drawn up that identifies
the contextual perspectives that pertain to the organization??™s business architecture and fit the enterprise
business profile.
