SWAPPING DOMAINS BETWEEN TIERS. Exhibit 11.15 is another example of swapping domains
between tiered structures. This modeling process is simple. Use the ???separated??? symbol to denote
the disassociation of a domain from its hosting tier and the ???contained??? icon to indicate a relationship
with another. In this illustration, domain D2 departs from tier T1 and then joins tier T2.
In the same fashion, domain D1 is separated from tier T2 and then is contained in tier T1.
INTEGRATING SERVICES WITH STRUCTURAL PERSPECTIVES. Atomic, composite, and service
clusters can be integrated with business autonomous or layered domain structures. This alignment
activity should be denoted by using the ???integrated??? pictogram. The service discovery and analysis
notation discussed in Chapter 8 can be used to further itemize the participating integration entities
and illustrate their alignment with various business structure perspectives. Exhibit 11.16 depicts
