"Service-Oriented Modeling (SOA): Service Analysis, Design, and Architecture"

DELIVERABLES
The final business integration proposition should be depicted in a service-oriented integration
diagram. This diagram should follow the integration modeling notation and capture past service
alignment initiatives as well as current business requirements. The service-oriented business
integration diagram should depict business domain tiers and layers; it should also illustrate the
organization??™s business distribution patterns and describe the influences of the management control
structure on the service integration strategy selected.
SUMMARY
Service-oriented business integration modeling should involve business and technology personnel.
Each of these groups should contribute their perspective to the modeling process.
The service-oriented business integration modeling process is based on two major business
architecture integration perspectives: structural and contextual. The structural perspective pertains
to business domain formations, and the contextual perspective is associated with business model,
mission, strategies, and even tactical implementations.
Analysis services are the service-oriented software assets that are involved in the business
integration process. These include atomic and composite services and service clusters.
There are six notation symbols that can be used to construct a service-oriented business
integration diagram: integrated, disintegrated , contained, separated, perspective of , and comment.
