all service structures are formed because of some service association, so the supporting beams
of the service design structure composition must present the logical and conceptual relationship.
These two service associations form solid beams that can hold up a service-oriented design composition.
They not only provide support to the logical formation, but also enable messages to
flow through and reach their destinations.
DESIGN STRATEGIES. The last question was about the method used to communicate design concepts
to the organization. Think of the final design composition artifact as a strategy that outlines
the future direction of service architecture and construction. But what are these strategies? As
will be shown in the next few sections, the design structure composition must communicate a
strategy that fosters software reusability, supports asset consolidation, encourages loosely coupled
architecture, addresses service-oriented interoperability concerns, tackles service granularity
alignment strategies, and more.
