"Service-Oriented Modeling (SOA): Service Analysis, Design, and Architecture"

Each of these packages may
include one or more service-oriented technological assets that are a part of a solution. A group
of technological packages make up a technological environment.
As readers my remember, the design composition diagram presented packaged solutions,
each of which may consist of service-oriented software entities, such as middleware products,
software platforms, and, of course, the services and legacy applications.
Architectural Concept. An architectural concept is obviously the desired artifact of this exercise.
Concepts should be typically elicited from service-oriented design artifacts and business requirements
and influenced by existing organizational technological environment. Architectural concepts
should be the central unit of analysis in a conceptual architecture diagram and should identify
the proposed technological solutions to business or technological requirements.
Technological Function: Attribute Descriptor. To be able to depict various technological requirements
and propose proper solutions, the technological function symbol can illustrate the
functionality offered by a packaged technological asset. For example, a function can describe
the capability of a service to reserve a movie ticket, or a function can reflect the capacity to
reconcile a bank account. The technological function icon can also be used to identify third-party
vendor product attributes.
