Thus, the conceptual architecture model diagram identifies the driving
concepts on which a future tangible architecture will be founded.
Consider the conceptual architecture model diagram illustrated in Exhibit 15.28. It depicts
the business domain sports news division along with its supporting technological environment.
In addition, the architectural conceptual relationship is illustrated by the three major architectural
abstractions: sports news broadcaster, sports news hub, and sports news station. Consider the
following assigned responsibilities for each of the architectural abstractions presented:
??? Sports news broadcaster (data machine). This architectural concept describes a multicasting
operation by which sports news is transmitted to the receiving portal sports news
station, via the intermediary sports news hub. The news broadcaster operation simply
constitutes a data layer that is empowered by Web services to periodically transmit news
to registered subscribers. Note the two sports news broadcaster underlying technology
stack items: (1) sports news Web services, which provide news distribution capabilities,
and (2) the sports news database, which aggregates and stores sport news. Additionally,
the depicted sports news broadcaster architectural concept was generalized from the sports
news Web services technological asset (using the conceptualized as icon).
